Tell us a little about yourself. How did it happen? Why did you decide to do exactly what you are doing now — marketing in a business environment? How did that all happen?

— Everything is very simple, I created my own projects and made an international educational platform, then I made a service of free flights, then I was invited to tell about these projects to various conferences and a year and a half ago I spoke for the first time at a conference for 300 people and a year and a half later 40 events ahead are scheduled to four countries. Over the past year, I have consulted about 218 companies individually, ranging from beauty salons and ending with the country’s largest developers, retailers, manufacturers. This is how I say: charisma, energy and content.

But tell me a little about what is special in your book?

— In my book special is that it makes you think differently. “To make cheaper than  a neighbor” is now the most popular marketing tool, especially in the regions. But it works until the neighbor has found out about it.

I try to bring people the tools and techniques as they can increase their sales, literally the next day, every other day, without practice, without any financial costs. That is, it is closer to guerrilla marketing — this is gross hacking, this is cross-marketing. At the expense of certain partner collaborations, at the expense of certain cross-marketing chains. That is, people create additional value for themselves, which is tens of times higher than the profit from their product and thus earns much more.

+ Cross-marketing is interesting, but when did you first stumble upon it and how?

— At first I created projects and then they told me that they were cross-marketing, I didn’t know what it was called, that is, I made an international educational platform and began to return people money spent on something for food, for various products for education for the whole family.

+ So the idea of cross-marketing came to your mind by itself?

— Yes, I won an investment contest with this idea and then I received money and implemented the project. Then I made people return money not only for training, but also for goods and other services in 100% equivalent. That is 100% cashback, not 10, not 5 like other companies, but 100%. I ate 1000 rub, 1000 spent on others …

+ People use this voucher coupon as a discount?

— No, it’s not as discounts, as gifts. You ate 1000 rubles and rode horses for 1000 rubles, for example. Absolutely free, not as a discount and this is cross-marketing. Discounts in cross-marketing do not work very well, although they used to work quite well. Now it is important to give a specific gift, let it be small, let it be shortened there in time, but it will be a specific gift. Then this theme works.

+ Can you give the latest examples of cross-marketing which can you name?

— For example, an insurance company asked for help, they insure apartments for 2 million rubles for 100 rubles. Could not sell insurance. I offered them to unite with restaurants, where there are a lot of transactions and give 3 months of insurance with a check for 3,000 rubles in restaurants, and for a restaurant it is only 300 rubles. Then after 3 months ends, the manager calls and asks, do you want to renew or not? If it agrees, OK, if it does not agree, they are offered to compensate for their insurance — payment of these 100 rubles by a taxi ride, and taxi trips are taken free of charge as the advertising. It turns out that a person has an insured apartment. He just needs to take a taxi for 100 rubles once a month and in the end everyone wins.

+ Did the restaurant pay for something?

— No, restaurants did not pay anything, for it is a cool advertising campaign. That is, for 10% — for 300 rubles from the check, it receives a promotion with 3 months of insuring an apartment for 2 million rubles.

+ And it can work for a year and two, right?

— As much as you like, of course!

This is a ready-made example of cross-marketing.

+ And what is the benefit of the insurance company? Only 100 rubles, is it profitable for them?

— Of course

Insure a million for 100 rubles?

— Yes, insurances earn this way.

+ Are there any examples with foreign companies?

— With foreign companies, with restaurants a good example: the cost of coffee is 10 rubles, the restaurant prints certificates for unlimited coffee for a month and these certificates are given to other companies, while other companies use this as an added value to their product and thus increase the average bill.

The restaurant gets traffic, and the cost of coffee is only 10 rubles, therefore, each person who comes to them gets 10 rubles.

And the cost price of a regular customer of a restaurant is 200 rubles and it turns out that this chain saves 20 times the budget of a restaurant.

+ You mentioned Almaty in your performance, what interesting projects did you take there?

— Right now, by the way, I’m flying to Kazakhstan with Garrett Johnston. I have speeches on March 27 in Atyrau.

+ And when in Almaty?

— I don’t know yet

+ And Garrett Johnston is …?

— Marketing specialist, very famous, world-renowned, who works with the largest companies. The organizers invited me and him to speak in one place.

+ And about travelling to other countries, how does a marketing culture differ in Russia, for example, from Kazakhstan?

— I’ve just started to travel to other countries, so I probably can not answer this question ..

“But literally in a year, I would be happy to answer it, to the question of what cross-marketing abroad represents. So far, I have just started receiving invitations to speak abroad …”

+ Wish you many interesting performances abroad, too!

— Thank You!
